Tube Lasers Cutting Systems Denver

Fiber lasers are virtually maintenance-free, demonstrate superior wall plug efficiency when compared to traditional CO2 laser cutting machines, can cut reflective materials, and offer precise cutting. They also are faster than CO2 machines when cutting certain metal thicknesses. However, speed is relative when it comes to cutting tube. The real time savings comes from speeding up the processing time of the tube and producing finished parts.

Highest flexibility for cutting different medical devices, in metals or plastics, from tubes or flat stock with the Coherent StarCut Tube “hybrid” version. This turnkey laser machine incorporates two lasers in a single compact housing.

StarCut Tube® SL laser cutting system provides the highest precision, reliability and performance for complex medical devices like stents, aortic valves replacements or hypotubes.

Due to the high power needed to create a CO2 Laser, it is less efficient than a fiber-laser. Also, the large chillers that are required to make CO2 lasers work require more power. You are using less power due to the fiber laser's wall plug efficiency exceeding 40 percent. This means that you also use less of your floor space in high-demand areas.

The weld seam is another consideration in tube cutting. This material is then roll-formed before being welded together. This brings us to two important points that should be addressed.

The StarCut Tube SL is a complete turnkey machine that incorporates an fs-laser and is ideal for laser cutting complex metal shapes such as thrombectomy stent retrievers.

The ability to choose between 2D and 3D laser cutting technology opensup the possibility of individually customized and precise cutting of parts in avery wide variety: tubes with round, square, and rectangular shapes as well asprofiles with diverse open cross-sections (for example H, L, T, and Ucross-sections). In addition tostraight cutting edges, the 3D technology also enables bevel cuts up to 45degrees. This versatility eliminates the need for costlymilling, drilling, punching, or sawing processes.

Built for maximum productivity, even for XXL tubes. With its robust solid-state laser, this machine can be used in numerous ways for the processing of tubes and profiles with a wide range of types of material and wall thicknesses.

Fiber lasers have wavelengths of 1.06 microns. This wavelength is 10 percent lower than the CO2 laser beam. Fiber lasers have a much shorter wavelength which makes them more able to absorb reflective material. CO2 lasers are more likely reflect off these surfaces. Fiber laser cutting machines can be used to cut brass and copper as well as other reflective materials. The machine's laser beam, as well as the beam path, can be damaged by a CO2 laser beam reflected off the material. This risk is eliminated if the beam path is used with a fiber optic cable.

A laser tube cutting machine doesn't come with any standard material towers. Bundle loading is the best option for handling tube material. It feeds one tube at a given time from the bundle into a tube laser using a singularizing process. This type cannot be used with open profiles (e.g. channels and angles), because they interlock inside the bundles and don’t move freely. Step loaders, which are used for open profile profiles, sequence one section at time into the machine while maintaining the correct orientation.
